Managing Director

Cameron Johnson joined Nucleus Network in August 2013 initially as the Chief Operating Officer before moving into the Managing Director position.

Prior to joining Nucleus Network Cameron held the position of Chief Executive Officer of a Phase 1 Clinical Trials Organisation and was the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of the company. He was ultimately responsible for the growth and success of the company, which included leading the organisation to win the 2013  Western Australia’s Industry and Export Premiers Award for Excellence.  Other awards included Western Australia’s Industry & Export Award for Healthcare and Biotechnology and Western Australia’s Industry & Export Award for Emerging Exporter of the Year 2012.

Cameron has worked extensively in early phase clinical trials organisations across Australia and Europe since 2001. Cameron is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and an active member of The Executive Connection (TEC), Australia’s leading CEO Mentoring and Coaching organisation.

Jason Lickliter, Medical Director, Nucleus Network


Medical Director, Nucleus Network

Dr Jason Lickliter was appointed as the Medical Director of Nucleus Network in October 2012. He is a consultant medical oncologist who has been working in early-phase clinical research for over 10 years. He established the Phase 1 Cancer Trials Program at Monash Medical Centre and has been its Director since 2008

Jason trained in medical oncology and clinical hematology at Royal Melbourne Hospital and the University of Minnesota Medical Centre in Minneapolis, USA, and completed PhD studies at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research. He has extensive experience in all aspects of early-phase cancer trials, including protocol design and implementation, and the integration of biomarker studies and advanced imaging into clinical research.

Director of Quality

Robin Luber is Director of Quality. In this role, Robin is responsible for establishing, maintaining and development of all aspects of the Nucleus Network Quality System.

Robin has over 15 years experience working in Quality Management and Quality Assurance Systems and has extensive knowledge on Compliance and Risk Management, Quality System Development and Implementation for the Clinical Research industry and Learning and development facilitation. Prior to working at Nucleus Network, Robin held senior level quality management positions in Big Pharma, lifesciences consulting, and chemical analysis laboratories. His past experience includes project management, validation and Good Clinical Practice consultancy services to FDA pharmaceutical licensed manufacturers, developing and implementing a fully integrated laboratory quality system and successfully leading TGA GMP licensing audits.


Director of Clinical Operations

Charlotte Hall

Director of Clinical Operations

Charlotte Hall joined Nucleus Network in February 2014 and is responsible for the clinical operations of the organisation.

Prior to joining Nucleus Network, Charlotte held the position of Clinical Nurse Manager of Linear Clinical Research and was part of the Senior Management team, involved in making key operational decisions for the organisation, as well as process implementation, review and improvement.

Charlotte is a registered nurse and has had over 8 years experience working within clinical research; 5 years of which have been specifically in Phase 1 clinical facilities. Charlotte’s experience includes all phases of drug development across a range of therapeutic areas, particularly specialising in Phase 1 healthy volunteer, vaccine and patient studies.

At Nucleus Network, Charlotte’s key responsibilities include the overall management of the clinical operations departments and facilities management. Charlotte has direct oversight of the Clinical and Screening departments and maintains close working relationships with the Project Management, Laboratory, Medical, Pharmacy and Recruitment Departments to ensure the smooth execution of clinical trials at Nucleus Network.
