Professional Career

Andrew Giddy has been Chief Executive Officer of Nucleus Network Ltd since 2005.

Prior to joining Nucleus Network, Andy spent 5 years with The Boston Consulting Group providing strategic management advice to leading Australian companies in a variety of industries.
 
Prior to The Boston Consulting Group, Andy worked 9 years with Big pharma in various leadership positions. Most recently, he held the position of Head of Clinical Operations- Basel Global Drug Development F. Hoffmann-la Roche, Switzerland. In this position he led a large clinical operation team of managers who each had global responsibility for conducting clinical trials world-wide. His responsibilities also included direct line management of contract managers, responsibility for strategic policy on CROs and global leverage and strategic direction of Global Clinical Operations within Development.

Lisa joined Nucleus Network as the founding management executive. In her current role, Lisa leads Business Development for Nucleus Network and provides strategic and financial oversight of Nucleus Network’s clinical development services, implementing, co-ordinating and overseeing all clinical trials.

Lisa has 25 years experience in the Medical Research Industry and has consulted to key research institutions and Scientific, Medical Research and Government sectors developing, writing and implementing business plans and conducting feasibility and assessment studies.

Prior to Nucleus Network, Lisa had 10 years of experience at senior management level with International big pharma and prior to this position, nine years experience with the one of Australia’s premier research institutes.

Professional Career
Craig Rogers is Chief Commercial Officer. In this role he is responsible for improving and driving the overall commercial performance of the business and is responsible for commercial and contractual activities of Nucleus Network’s consulting and Centre for Clinical Studies operations.

Prior to joining Nucleus Network, Craig held the position of General Manager, CMAX (A Division of IDT Australia Ltd) where he was responsible for the Management and Operation of the clinical trial unit. Craig has worked for over 15 years in Big Pharma and Biotech start-up companies where he has held leadership roles in regulatory affairs, drug development and manufacture. He has successfully filed INDs, DAs and General Marketing Applications in the USA, EU, Australian and Asian markets.

A/Professor Peter Hodsman is Medical Director for Nucleus Network. In this position, he is principal investigator and looks after safety of all participants in the clinical trial unit.

Peter has over 20 years pharmaceutical industry clinical research experience. Prior to Nucleus Network, Peter held R&D Director, Regional Medical Director and Medical Director positions in Big Pharma and Biotech where he was responsible for the strategy and management for multiple clinical research programs in most disease areas in Australia, Asia and the Middle East. Peter was responsible for GCP training and audit programs, drug safety surveillance, reporting and issues management and has been involved in numerous successful internal, FDA, Korean FDA and Japanese MHW study and audits and overseeing multiple regulatory dossier and pricing submissions

Professor Albert Frauman is Medical Director, Austin Centre for Clinical Studies.

Albert has a career spanning over 30 years in clinical research and is an expert in drug trials and pharmacokinetic studies. Albert has longstanding activities in clinical medicine, teaching and research as a hospital and academic physician. He has expertise in pharmaceutical evaluation for the Therapeutic Goods Administration and strong interests in quality use of medicines and pharmacoeconomics. He sits on a number of key State and Commonwealth therapeutics committees as a clinical pharmacologist, including the Poisons Advisory Committee of DHS . He is also actively involved in professional advisory roles, sitting on the Royal Australasian College of Physicians’ Victorian State Committee and the College’s Federal Therapeutics Committee

A/Professor Kazuko Masuo is Associate Medical Director Nucleus Network. In this role, Kazuko is responsible for the provision of clinical medical services to registered clinical trial participants conducted at the Centre for Clinical Studies, Austin and AMREP sites.

Kazuko has an extensive career in clinical research including numerous ethnopharmacology studies including Japanese Bridging Studies.

Professional Career
Carolyn is Director of Operations, Centre for Clinical Studies, for AMREP and Austin sites. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing functional managers responsible for recruitment, nursing, laboratory, pharmacy and data management in support of clinical studies being conducted at CCS. Her key responsibilities are planning and implementing processes and business activities in accordance with approved procedures, legal, scientific, ethical and regulatory requirements. Carolyn manages all aspects of the Unit Operations including staff and responsibility relating to the conduct of clinical trials.

Carolyn has over 20 years experience in clinical research with more than 15 years in the biopharmaceutical industry in various clinical operation roles with increasing responsibility. Carolyn has a broad experience in drug development within Australia as well as the US, UK and Eastern Europe.

Jacqui is Director of Alliances & Consulting. Jacqui works with many different people across both AMREP and Austin sites to support good service delivery to our Sponsors and also oversees a number of expansion projects.


Jacqui has over 15 years experience in research, having worked in Biotech, Big Pharma and Medical research in regulatory affairs, quality assurance, project management and operation management roles.

Robin Luber is Director of Quality. In this role, Robin is responsible for establishing, maintaining and development of all aspects of the Nucleus Network Quality System.


Robin has 15 years experience working in Quality Management and Quality Assurance Systems and has extensive knowledge on Compliance and Risk Management, Quality System Development and Implementation for the Clinical Research industry and Learning and development facilitation. Prior to working at Nucleus Network, Robin held senior level quality management positions in Big Pharma, lifesciences consulting, and chemical analysis laboratories. His past experience includes project management, validation and Good Clinical Practice consultancy services to FDA pharmaceutical licensed manufacturers, developing and implementing a fully integrated laboratory quality system and successfully leading TGA GMP licensing audits.
