Extended Capabilities

Nucleus Network is very closely linked to two major tertiary teaching hospitals, specialist principal investigators for early phase studies and is co-located in a research cluster with a large number of research institutes. As a result of this access to research institutes, Nucleus Network is able to undertake extended capabilities for "proof of principle" in phase I studies, with esoteric biomarkers being built in to get an early signal of efficacy in traditional safety / dose finding type phase I studies. A linkage and co-location with the research institutes allows Nucleus Network to develop close to source biomarker assays- which may include cytokine stimulation assays or FACS analysis . Nucleus Network uses many of the co-located research institutes to undertake these assays and linkage with the Baker Heart IDI allows access to many experimental pharmacology-type studies, isolating individual vessels in an in-vivo setting but ex-vivo providing special techniques that can be brought into play for Sponsors.

Specialist Capabilities include:

* Clinical physiology
* Cytokine Stimulation
* Eli-spot
* ELISA
* Flow Cytometry
* PET Scanning
* MRI/MRS
* Vascular pharmacology
